Thäis Henríquez

Olympic swimmer Thais Henriquez was responsible for providing the first "Canarias" Synchronized Swimming Campus, an event which took place between the 20th to 28th August 2011 at Club La Santa in Lanzarote. The event was organised by the Canary Islands’ Synchronized Swimming Federation and has made it possible that most sportsmen and women share the experience and enjoy learning this sport. Thais has been in love with the island of Lanzarote since the first time she visited it.

She highlights the island´s tranquility, its incredible scenery and nature. Thais told us that what she most likes in Lanzarote are the beaches, such as Papagayo. She highlighted the year round spring like weather, which together with the wonders of the landscape, are a privilege for any athlete training in the island. It has been an honor for her to train in the Cesar Manrique designed pool at Los Jameos del Agua, as well as lending her image for the promotion of Lanzarote as a sports destination.
