Nature
Lanzarote is very rich in natural resources that make the island an ideal spot to enjoy contact with nature and a wide range of activities and opportunities to perform.
The landscape defines the personality of Lanzarote. Volcanoes and farmers are the architects of a physical environment that invites to be seen and enjoyed from the certainty
that this is an area carrying a beauty different from anything else on the planet.
Also outstanding are seas of lava, the great variety of flora and fauna and protected areas that have a high natural and environmental quality.
The vegetation on the island obviously outstands, the volcanic imprints reminds us of recent fires and burns. Beforehand, it doesn't seem to be possible to have any representation of the world of plants.
It is true that it is not an island of significant vegetation, rather low shoot, herbs of rocks.
Although one could develop a good list of noteworthy plants and lichens , especially since some of them settled in the past the island's economy, as the Orchilla and the barrilla, the first for the manufacture of dyes and the second for the obtaining caustic soda.
The land, sea and air in Lanzarote are more inhabited than what people, at a simple glance, comes to suspect. We very easily see large animals, camels, donkeys and goats, but these mammals are accompanied by, as inhabitants of this island, invertebrates, crustaceans, reptiles, birds and fish.
So from the small cochineal (Dactilopius coccus) to the camel through the Guincho (Pandion haliaetus haliaetus), sea eagle and the heraldic symbol of Arrecife, the colorful Parrotfish (Sparisoma Cretense), the Lizard of Haria (Gallotia Atlantica) and limpets and Periwinkles present themselves as Treasures of the Island of the easternmost of the Canaries' inhabitants.
